Fruit Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 can pitted cherries
  • 1 cup diced pineapple- large can
  • 2 cans mandarin oranges
  • 5 cup small marshmallows
  • 1 pt sour cream

Steps

  1. Drain fruit thoroughly. Mix together and add sour cream and marshmallows. Let stand in refrigerator overnight.

Molded Relish Salad

Ingredients

1st Layer

  • 3oz package strawberry Jello
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 5 oz package frozen cranberry with orange relish
  • 2 to 3 tbl lemon juice
  • Dash of salt

2nd Layer

  • 3oz package lemon jello
  • 25 cup boiling water
  • 2 cup mini marshmallows
  • 5 oz can crushed pineapple
  • 3 oz cream cheese
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • Dash salt
  • ½ cup chopped nuts
  • ½ cup whipping cream

Steps

  1. First Layer. Dissolve the strawberry Jello in boiling water.
  2. Add relished, lemon juice, and salt. Pour into slightly greased 1.5 qt mold. Chill until set.
  3. Second layer. Dissolve lemon in boiling water. Add marshmallows and stir till melted.
  4. Drain pineapple, reserving syrup. Add syrup from pineapple to gelatin. Chill until almost set. Then blend in cream cheese, sour cream, and salt. Stir in pineapple and nuts.
  5. Chill partially. Set then fold in whipped cream.

Cranberry Salad

Cranberry Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 pgk lemon, 1 pkg orange
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 cups boiling water
  • 1 lb ground cranberries
  • 1 whole orange, lemon- ground
  • 1 cup apple, chopped
  • 1 cup nuts (optional)

Steps

  1. Dissolve jello in water. Allow to cool and congeal.
  2. Add rest of ingredients and chill. Unmold.

Frozen Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 lb can fruit cocktail
  • 1- 11oz can mandarin oranges
  • 1- 2oz pkg dessert topping mix
  • ¼ cup mayo
  • ½ tsp grated lemon peel
  • 5 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 cup tiny marshmallows
  • ¼ cup toasted flaked coconut

 

Steps

  1. Drain fruit cocktail and oranges. Prepare dessert topping mix according to directions
  2. Fold in mayo, lemon peel, and juice.
  3. Fold in fruit cocktail, oranges, marshmallows, and coconuts
