Ingredients

  • 2 pkg strawberry Jello
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 2 pgk frozen, thawed berries with juice
  • 1 can 2lb crushed pineapple drained
  • 3 medium bananas mashed
  • 1 cup crushed walnuts
  • 1 pt sour cream- use to divide in half.

Steps

  1. Put in 13 x 9 pan

Oriental Glazed Ribs

Oriental Glazed Ribs

Ingredients

  • 2 slabs of ribs
  • 2 tbl hoisin sauce
  • 2 tbl soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 clove garlic- minced
  • Plus fruit sauce glaze
  • ½ cup Chinese hot mustard
  • 1/3 cup apricot
  • 1/3 cup peach preserve- plus orange juice to make desired consistency

 

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 425, slice between stick ends of rib bones- 1”
  2. Mix hoisin sauce plus seasoning on both sides
  3. Put ribs in large roasting pan. Bake for 20 minutes or longer until no pink shows and drain off fat
  4. Then brush with fruit glaze sauce and broil a few minutes until sauce melts and forms glaze

Chocolate Chip Squares

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 25 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 25 cup flour
  • 25 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • ½ cups chopped nuts (optional)

Steps

  1. Cream together butter and brown sugar. Add beaten eggs.
  2. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt. Add to egg mix. Add in chocolate chips and nuts.
  3. Bake in greased 8 x 8 pan at 350 for 35-40 minutes.

Crab Louis

Crab Louis

Ingredients

  • 1 lb crab meat
  • 1 tsp horseradish
  • ½ cup chili sauce
  • 2 tbl chopped green pepper
  • 2 tbl chopped pickle
  • 1 tbl chopped scallion
  • 1 tbl lemon juice
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • Dash Worcestershire sauce

 

Steps

  1. Mix all ingredients except crab meat, and add salt and pepper to taste. The quantitiy of salt and pepper will depend on how highly seasoned the dressing is.
  2. Bone crab meat and mix carefully into sauce
  3. Serve on lettuce leaves in school out tomatoes peeled, if you wish
  4. Make 6 servings

Grandma’s Butter Cookies

Grandma’s Butter Cookies

Ingredients

  • 5 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 lb butter
  • 5 eggs
  • ½ cup strained orange
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • Nuts
  • Extra sugar

Steps

  1. Work together sugar, butter, and brown sugar
  2. Add 5 yolks to above. Then add strained juice. Add dry ingredients.
  3. Roll and cut. Dip in egg whites, then sugar and nuts.
  4. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes
