Ingredients
- 1 onion
- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup long grain rice

- Chop and saute onion with turmeric in butter until tender
- Stir in salt, pepper, water- boil
- Stir in raw rice long grain, bring to a boil
